Planning notes / Quotations

Compare the kitchen, not just the total.

A useful comparison starts by finding out whether two quotations describe the same room, products and responsibilities.

01

Make a matching list.

Write down the cabinet arrangement, quantities, materials and finishes in each proposal. Note the hardware and internal accessories by name or model where possible. If one proposal is silent on a detail, ask for it to be clarified.

02

Look beyond cabinetry.

List worktops, sinks, taps, appliances, delivery, installation and any preparation work separately. Check whether tax is included. This makes it easier to see whether a lower figure excludes something the other proposal contains.

03

Compare the process as well.

Ask how measurements are checked, how changes are agreed and what must be ready before installation. Confirm who handles any supporting trades and who receives a follow-up request after completion.

04

Keep the final version.

Before an order is placed, keep a copy of the agreed design and specification, together with the applicable commercial and warranty terms. Later changes should be recorded so both sides can see what has been agreed.

Make it yours.

Tell us about the room, the way you use it and what you would like to change.
